I have always loved stories. On countless summer afternoons as a kid, while laying under the ceiling fan and desperately trying to keep cool, I found myself lost in the pages of an enchanting tale. The whimsy of Hans Christian Andersen, the mysterious garden of Frances Hodgson Burnett, and the rhythm and rhyme of Shel Silverstein whisked me away into fantastical journeys.

Now as a mother, bedtime reading is a cherished ritual where exploring new stories leads to giggles, gasps of shock at plot twists, and even tears (mostly mine). The transformative power of literature deepens our connection to the stories, to each other, and to our world. 

Teaching for over 19 years, I can’t count how many times a child’s eyes light up when they connect with a character or just have to know what’s coming next. Reading isn’t merely about imparting knowledge but fostering a profound relationship with words–words that have the power to weave enchanting tales, evoke powerful emotions, and ignite the imagination. 

My passion for reading isn't merely a sideline hobby—it's the beating heart of what we do. Here at Bone-a-Fide Books, we don't just turn every page into an adventure; we sprinkle it with a touch of hope.
